Silver Eclipse Drop Earrings in Shinbashiiro with Green or Grey Stoppers
These beautifully-playful Silver Eclipse Drop Earrings are part of my First Exploration collection. I have chosen to make this pair in the Japanese colour Shinbashiiro [New Bridge Cyan]. According to the Essence of Colour in Japanese Design by Rossella Menegazzo, the colour became fashionable in early twentieth century Japan. I love it for its name, as to me building bridges between nations is fundamental to peace.
Originally inspired by an image of Saturn called 'Quintet of Moons' taken by NASA during the Cassini-Huygens Mission, the Eclipse pieces capture the elegance of the mission and symbolise mankind’s ability to look outwards, reach out across borders and work together to achieve exceptional things.
Handmade in recycled Sterling silver and eco-resin, the Eclipse shapes measure approximately 24 x 18mm. One of the eclipses has three tiny 'moon shadows' on the back. The Stoppers are held in place by friction and slide on and off with a little gentle persuasion. Available in Fukagawanezu [Mouse Grey] or Wakabairo [Young Leaf Green]. Please choose your required Stopper colour from the dropdown menu.
Prefer different colour Stoppers? Then drop me a message through my Contact page under Info - I am happy to mix to special colour requests at no extra cost.
The earrings will be shipped in a grey recycled-card gift box and carefully packaged to ensure that they are not damaged in transit.
Ready to ship in 1-3 business days. Please allow up to two weeks for custom colours.
